Here's a snap from our friend Lucas de Jong of the Neons performing at the Victorian Folk Music Club last week. Such a warm and creatively vibrant community, based out at Ringwood East, we felt so welcome and we had a great night meeting people and sharing music with them. Here we are, first gig with a riser! (mmmm..💡) #bandthrills Mich and Catie all elevated, and Jess standing up, happy as a clam:
The Neons would like to express a heartfelt thanks to Holly Downes, Hannah Gillespie, and everyone involved in making the Majors Creek Festival the exceptional and exemplary experience that it was. These guys know how to run and program a great festival, it's the perfect size, and we absolutely recommend it to punters and performers alike. The Neon Effect were honoured to be involved, and we loved meeting locals and careering around with our folkie kindreds. Special thanks to Mischa Herman for looking after us so well, as the superb host and Tonmeister of Pete's Lounge. Here's a delightful Neon offering from our friend Paul!:
The Neon Effect’s debut album Orlando’s Dream is finally cooked, and we are delighted to get our contemporary Aussie Folk out into the sound world! Here are snippets of three tracks, with pieces by Catie Martin, Michael Kennedy, Michelle Doyle, Mischa Herman, Jonathan Burton and Carrie Young. Thanks so much for listening, and if you like what you hear, head to our pozible page and support us by ordering your copy of Orlando’s Dream! https://www.pozible.com/proje…/the-neon-effect-debut-album-1
